Equal Opportunities Statement
Fair, inclusive and evidence-based employment and recruitment
COMMITMENTRockstone makes employment and recruitment decisions on objective, role-related criteria and does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment or victimisation.
Scope
This statement applies to Rockstone Engineering Switzerland Sàrl and Rockstone Engineering Limited, employees, workers, applicants, candidates, directors, consultants and controlled suppliers. It covers advertising, sourcing, selection, client submission, assessment, hiring, pay, allocation of work, development, promotion, discipline and termination.
Protected status
In Ireland, Rockstone will not discriminate on the nine statutory grounds of gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race — including colour, nationality and ethnic or national origin — or membership of the Traveller community. Rockstone also protects any other status covered by applicable Irish law.
In Switzerland, Rockstone complies with applicable constitutional, employment and gender-equality protections. As a group standard, Rockstone also opposes unjustified discrimination based on the grounds listed above and on gender identity or expression, pregnancy or maternity, caring responsibility, social origin, political opinion where legally protected, genetic characteristics or any other protected status.
Fair recruitment
- define role requirements and selection criteria before assessment;
- use inclusive, accurate advertisements and accessible application routes;
- apply consistent evidence-based criteria and document material decisions;
- avoid irrelevant questions and intrusive personal-data collection;
- challenge biased instructions and do not accept discriminatory client preferences; and
- review automated or AI-assisted outputs by a responsible person; no solely automated final recruitment decision is permitted.
Disability and reasonable accommodation
Rockstone will discuss reasonable accommodation for application, assessment, interview, work or communication. Requests are handled respectfully and confidentially. Only information necessary to understand and implement the adjustment is collected, and the request will not be used as a negative selection factor.
Harassment, sexual harassment and victimisation
Unwanted conduct that violates dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment is not tolerated. Retaliation against a person who raises a concern, supports an investigation or exercises a legal right is prohibited. Client and supplier conduct is included where Rockstone can reasonably influence or address it.
Concerns and response
A concern may be raised with a manager, recruiter, director or through info@rockstoneengineering.com. Rockstone will assess it promptly, protect confidentiality as far as possible, avoid retaliation, investigate proportionately and take appropriate corrective action. A person may also use any applicable internal grievance route or contact a competent public body.
Monitoring and accountability
Rockstone provides proportionate training and reviews recruitment outcomes, complaints, adjustments and process data where lawful. Diversity monitoring is voluntary unless law provides otherwise, separated from selection where practicable, used for a defined purpose and reported in aggregated form. Directors review this statement at least annually.
